Argentina Kindergarten Scandal: Teachers Accused of Child Abuse

A kindergarten in the province of Santa Fe has been denounced for aggression and insults by the institution's teachers against babies and children. Following the accusations and the intervention of the justice system, which began after the videos went viral on social media, the director has apologized. Days ago, judicial authorities were alerted to acts of violence within the "Manitos a la Obra" kindergarten, located on Dorrego Street at 2400, in Villa Constitución, Santa Fe. From that moment, an investigation began, incorporating videos made by assistants showing the brutal actions of the women, in addition to the municipality ordering the preventive closure of the institution. Local media highlight that everything started with a tug on the ear, but then the attacks increased to the point of throwing children to the floor and leaving them crying. Upon learning of the case, the parents of the minors stated that they found out through social networks or WhatsApp groups, and that recently some had noticed changes in the children's behaviors, which would be related to the aggressions suffered. In recent hours, the director of the kindergarten released a video in which she apologized and made herself available to the Justice system. "I am Milagros Capella and I have come to apologize for everything that happened. I take responsibility for not knowing," begins the video accessed by the Argentine News Agency. In the recording, the woman states that she is "incompetent in her job" for not realizing the aggressions, while in another excerpt from the video she commented that one of the minors who suffered attacks is her niece: "I will not allow anything to happen to her or to any other child." However, as some parents expressed, they suspect that the speech was scripted and they do not believe it.
